As I stated in a previous post I have to add blood thinner injections to my regime of the IVF process. Some women need to add these depending on their health situation.

Giving yourself a shot is NO easy task. I have always been fine with being pricked and prodded at a doctors office but when you are in your own home and have to give yourself a shot, it is way different and way harder. I give so much credit to my younger brother, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a number of years ago. He has to give himself insulin everyday and I really feel for him.

Blood thinners are tiny needles but let me tell you they burn once they go in! My boyfriend and my amazing support system of friends and family write to me everyday and check in on me and remind me why I am doing this. I am doing this so I can potentially have my own biological child without having to put my body through childbirth.

So I now have a CVS in my kitchen with my 2 hormone pills, my regular meds I have to take everyday, and my blood thinner. I have a time schedule, things written out, you need to keep everything organized. If you don't you might miss something and now is not the time to be sloppy.

I am also incredibly lucky that my sister-in-law and my mother-in-law (to be) are nurses and have walked me through the process and help me in anyway I need.

I am at Day 2 of 2 months for these blood thinners and I am crossing my days off until I can stop them!
