ABOUT ME

Hi Everyone, and by everyone I mean myself and hopefully others!

My name is Victoria Pawar. I am 29 years old and currently live New Jersey with my husband and adopted dog.

A little bit about me and my history of my 29 years!

I was born and grew up in Staten Island, NY, one of the 5 boroughs. YES, Staten Island is one of the boroughs of New York City and I will argue with anyone who says otherwise. We may be the forgotten borough, but we are one of the five no matter what!

At the age of 16 I was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome, a rare connective tissue disorder. Unfortunately it was a genetic mutation at birth and I did not inherit this from a family member, but right after my 16th birthday my diagnosis was confirmed. More on this later.

I attended The College of New Jersey for my undergraduate degree and it was an amazing 4 years. I got my BA in Communication Studies and got an incredible education. During my 4 years of college I really came into my personality. I was conservative and a tad shy until my 2nd semester of my sophomore year, thanks to joining Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority. I was immersed in clubs, jobs, the sorority and my future career. No I may not remember what I learned in my classes (sorry mom & dad!) but my college experience gave me the social skills, communication skills and work ethic I needed to get me where I am today. I worked as an Events Manager in college and interned at 94.5 WPST, TerraCycle, Princeton Football & Viacom.

Now I work on the Development Team at St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital in Bayside, Queens. A place I am extremely passionate about, which I am sure I will share a ton of on here!

After college I got my first job working for the reality show, Jerseylicious, which I still have yet to watch an episode of, shhhh! I worked with them as a Production Assistant for 2 weeks before leaving for another job. My internship at Viacom led me to my first full-time job as Executive Assistant to Nick Cannon. I worked for him for a little under 2 years where I gained incredible experience in management, public relations, admin. skills, and talent relations. After leaving that job I consulted and worked a few different jobs and projects for about a year. I worked for a TV production company on television and film pitches, did some creative works with the production company, consulted as a talent coordinator on a show for Nickelodeon and was an independent contractor for St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital. (where i work now!)

After consulting and working for myself for 2 years I landed a full-time position at St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children in Bayside, Queens. I became the Manager of Strategic Partnerships on the Development Team and began my career in the nonprofit world.

While I was consulting I moved out of Staten Island and moved to Weehawken, New Jersey with one of my best friends/little sister in my sorority. We lived together for a year and then another one of my best friends/sorority sisters moved in with me for another year. My apartment was big, cute and I loved the area, but there was no assigned parking or driveways so 2 years was as much as I could handle that. We now live in a home in Bergen County NJ and are loving the suburbs! We have a backyard that Coby can run around in, Jerrad has his own office to work whenever he needs and I have more space!

I am an open book and hope I can help break down some boundaries for people who are afraid to tell their stories, who are afraid to be vulnerable and for people who may be afraid of what is to come.
